Dude, You are Nuts
Aug. 23rd, 2009 06:37 amCyborg: "I tell you, there is a magic bar on the other side of this door!"
Beast Boy: "Dude, for the one hundredth time, that is the door to the main room."
C; "Look, BB...don't you see it?"
BB: "I see the TV. And the kitchen. And breakfast. And Raven. And she's not happy you keep opening the door."
(The door opens and closes sixteen or seventeen times in quick succession. Raven looks up from the couch, slowly getting more and more annoyed.)
C: "Why won't you show yourself, Bar? Don't you want BB to see all your..your...magic bar-ness?"
BB: "If you're trying to play a joke on me, it really needs to be funny."
C: "No, just give me one more--"
Raven: "Enough. There...is...no...magic...bar...here."
(The boys shrink away, and close the door quietly.)
BB: "Dude, give it up. Wanna play Auto Crash 3000?"
C: "Later." (Cyborg quietly enter the main room and sulks to the kitchen area, where he sulkily pours a big bowl of Boom Flakes. Raven eventually gets up and makes her way to Cyborg.)
R: "Cyborg..."
C; "Don't start with me, too. I know what I saw. That's all there is to it."
R: "I know. I think you should know...there is something a little odd around you."
C: "Around me?"
R: "You've...been someplace. There's magic residue. But not a sort I can identify."
C: "So you believe me?"
R: "I believe that you did see something. But I can't see if you were really someplace else. Magic doors...aren't my specialty."
C: "You think I had a magic dream? Or someone is making me see things?"
R: "Maybe."
C: "Great. Just great."
R: "It could be an enemy. I...if it matters, though, it doesn't feel like that."
C: "Doesn't feel like that? You can tell by reading the magic?"
R: "Sometimes. Remember what my father is. This...isn't like him."
C: "So it's safe to keep going to this bar?"
R: "Just don't bring anything home."
(Raven gives - for Raven - a smile, and lets Cyborg eat his breakfast.)
